While in Fethard, take a relaxing walk around the town
and see the
many historical sights.
The remains of the 15th Century Town Wall can be clearly seen encircling the town, and of course the only surviving gate from this wall can be found right next door to The Gatehouse B&B.
Two Sheela na gig carvings are visible at Watergate and at The Abbey.

For a more vigorous walk you can Climb Slievenamon Mountain, or take a walk around the beautiful Tipperary Countryside.

Don't forget your golf clubs as Slievenamon Golf Club is close by and is open bank holidays and weekends.

On Sundays a market is held in the Fethard Folk Farm and Transport Museum, and also has a childrens playground.

For evenings, there is the Abymill Theatre, or perhaps a meal in the local restaurant.

If you like walking you will love the scenic walk to romantic Slievenamon (722m) – just four miles from Fethard.

Fresh water fishing is also widely available on local rivers.

There are many Pubs to choose from in Fethard often with live music, and all a short walk back to The Gatehouse B&B.

There is also horse riding, pony trekking, Angling, Golf and Bicycle hire all within 10 kilometres of Fethard.
